Jiuhua Tianchi is located in the Guichi District of Chizhou City, within the jurisdiction of Mayao, and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. It is one of the first batch of scenic spots in Anhui Province. It is 25 kilometers away from the national 5A-level scenic area – Jiuhua Mountain, 15 kilometers from the main city of Chizhou, Chizhou Railway Station, and the Yangtze River tourism dock, and 5 kilometers from the Jiuhua Mountain entrance of the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway. The scenic area covers a total area of 20 square kilometers, with a water area of more than 500,000 square meters. The scenic area is composed of four parts: Longchi, Tianchi, Glacial Stone Valley, and Furong Peak. The natural ecology is pristine, and the landscape is peculiar, featuring natural landscapes such as canyons, streams, waterfalls, peculiar trees, strange rocks, high mountain flat lakes, and bamboo forests, as well as human landscapes like red villages, power stations, and tea gardens. A large number of glacial erratics are stacked in the Stone Valley, with underground rivers surging, creating a unique and interconnected cave system with crystal-clear springs; trees and stones embrace each other, and ancient vines entwine, forming a giant natural bonsai. The deep forest, fresh air, static boulders, and dynamic rapids and waterfalls create a spectacle known as the ‘Heavenly River Hanging Green Water,’ a unique sight in the Jiangnan region.
The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.
