Located in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, the Jiulong Agarwood Museum is a specialized museum dedicated to the collection, display, and research of agarwood. The museum houses over 300 pieces of agarwood collections, weighing approximately 5 million grams, sourced from major agarwood-producing regions such as Vietnam, Hainan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, showcasing the classification and regional characteristics of agarwood.

The museum’s prized possession, the ‘Angel’s Eye,’ weighing over 13,000 grams, originates from the pristine tropical rainforests of Nha Trang, Vietnam. Additionally, the museum boasts over 100 pieces of ancient incense tools and stoves, including those from the Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as royal incense utensils used by Asian ‘national treasures.’ The collection also features dozens of contemporary incense tools, tea sets, and artworks crafted by master artisans and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, reflecting the development of traditional craftsmanship and incense culture in modern times.

Notably, the museum displays over 30 representative works by contemporary masters of arts and crafts, Zheng Yaojin and Li Fengrong, including the rare Huizhou-style submerged carvings unique to China. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM; closed all day on Mondays, except for legal holidays and special circumstances. Student policy: Discounts are available with a valid student ID.
