The center is dedicated to the development of the water sports industry, offering a variety of high-end water sports experiences to the public, including dragon boat racing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, rowing, ocean kayaking, and motorized surfing.
Dragon Boat Racing: Originating in China, the dragon boat culture dates back to the Spring and Autumn period and was a sacrificial activity of the ancient Yue people to honor water or dragon deities. Dragon boat racing emerged during the Warring States period for totem worship and to commemorate Qu Yuan. Suitable for team activities, dragon boat racing is typically guided by professional coaches, with participants forming teams to learn basic dragon boat skills, including proper paddle grip, rowing motions, and rhythm coordination. Afterwards, teams engage in short-distance dragon boat races within a designated area to experience the power of teamwork and the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP): Originating in Hawaii in the 1960s, SUP is a combination of surfing and traditional rowing. On calm lakes, river harbors, and other waters, people can leisurely paddle on a SUP, enjoying the surrounding natural scenery and the tranquility of the water. For instance, paddling a SUP at sunrise on a lake, feeling the gentle breeze, is a very pleasant way to relax.
Kayaking: Kayaking originated from the fishing and transportation activities of early humans. Its history dates back thousands of years, with early kayaks made from animal skins or bark as simple water transportation tools. For example, the Inuit people of North America used seal skins to make kayaks for fishing and transportation in the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean. Kayaking is a full-body sport that exercises the muscles of the arms, shoulders, back, abdomen, and legs while also improving cardiopulmonary function, enhancing endurance, and coordination.
Paddling on the water allows for closeness to nature, enjoying a peaceful aquatic environment, reducing stress, and relaxing the body and mind. Suitable for almost all ages and physical conditions, it is especially suitable for beginners, family outings, and those who want to relax. It can be played solo, in pairs, or with two adults and one child, offering both fun and the opportunity to exercise teamwork while enjoying the scenery.Motorized Surfing: Motorized surfboards are a combination of traditional surfing and modern technology. They were created to allow more people to enjoy the thrill of surfing under various water conditions.
Embark on a board and glide effortlessly across the tranquil lake surface, like a nimble waterfowl, leisurely enjoying the surrounding natural scenery; or become a ‘flier’ on the water, experiencing the exhilarating sensation of speeding through the water like an arrow released from a bow, with splashes flying on both sides.
Adventurous and thrill-seeking tourists will find it worthwhile! Open all year round from 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00.
