The Jiulongji Waterfall is located 13 kilometers southeast of Zhouning County. The Longjiang River cascades down layer by layer between the perilous cliffs and broken walls, forming a nine-level waterfall group with a drop of nearly 300 meters. It is one of the more famous natural landscapes in Zhouning County. Tourists from surrounding areas often come here on weekends to enjoy the water and get close to nature. The whole journey of Jiulongji takes about 1 to 2 hours. The scenery is even more spectacular after rain or in seasons with abundant rain. The entire walking trail is built along the water flow. Passing through a small bamboo forest and following the wooden steps all the way down to the valley bottom, the ninth-level waterfall – Longkou Waterfall is right in front of you. Continuing forward, along the plank road beside the waterfall and going up, there is a small pavilion at intervals for tourists to view the waterfall and take a rest. Along the way, you can successively observe the different postures of each level of waterfall. The third and fourth-level waterfalls have a drop of 7 meters and a width of more than 50 meters. The fifth-level waterfall is divided into two halves by a huge rock and is also called ‘Longya Waterfall’. The sixth to ninth-level waterfalls are ‘four-fold waterfalls’, also known as ‘four-tiered waterfalls’, with a drop of about 60 meters. The waterfalls are connected one after another, and the levels are closely linked. At the back of the walking trail is the valley bottom of Jiulongji, and it is also the more spectacular waterfall in the waterfall group – the Jiulongji Grand Waterfall. The waterfall is 80 meters wide and nearly 50 meters high, which is very spectacular.
