Leaving the Peak Square and walking northwest along the winding mountain road, not far away, you will see an archway with the three characters ‘Jiulongquan’ written on the upper forehead. After passing through the archway and walking a short distance, you will arrive at the Jiulongquan scenic area of Baiyun Mountain. Entering the scenic area gate, the first thing that appears in front of tourists is two magnificent large dragon pillars. The dragon pillars are tough in texture and carved from bluestone. The upper end of the dragon pillar is formed by nine lion heads arranged side by side. The lower end is an octagonal and eight-seater throne. In the middle, it is formed by nine dragons of different shapes, different auras, and different sizes. There is a pair of boys and girls holding a heavenly book between the two dragon pillars – ‘Dragon pillar, national prosperity and people’s peace, good weather for the crops’. The ‘Nine Dragon Pillar’ located in the center of the Jiulongquan Square is 6 meters high, 1.1 meters in diameter, and weighs 9.9 tons. It is said that it is among the best in the national dragon pillar industry in terms of weight, height, diameter, and carving craftsmanship, adding to the landscape color of the scenic area. Continuing to walk up, the couplet ‘Baiyue is prosperous in the south sky, and the figures are elegant and prosperous; Nine dragons coil around the northern ridge, and famous springs mark scenic spots.’ unfolds before your eyes. The four vigorous characters ‘Hidden Tigers and Leaping Dragons’ are inlaid on the stone wall. At the side of the Jiulongquan well, a large bluestone faucet weighing 1.12 tons with eight faucets weighing 0.62 tons each is installed for circulating water spraying. The water sprays out from the mouth of the faucet and gathers in the bluestone flower butterfly. This spectacular scene continues the incarnation of the name Jiulongquan. The originally rushing nine dragons seem to return to Jiulongquan and return to Baiyun Mountain. Only the nine dragons playing in the water on the Nine Dragon Wall picture are exquisitely and realistically carved with fish, shrimp, turtles and so on, vivid and lifelike. Entering the Jiulongquan scenic area makes tourists feel that the Nine Dragon Pillar, Jiulongquan, nine faucet sprays, and Nine Dragon Wall are integrated, which will add more dragon flavor. Being on the scene, you can feel the world of dragons, the elegance of dragons, and the spiritual energy of dragons. Jiulongquan is a spring with high popularity in Baiyun Mountain. ‘Jiulongquan’ not only has a long history and a great reputation, but also has clear and sweet water quality, which is deeply favored by citizens, especially tea lovers. The tea brewed with Jiulongquan is fragrant, sweet, smooth when entering the mouth, and has a delicate taste.
