The September 5th Massacre Memorial Hall is located in Wanzhou District, Chongqing City. On September 5th, 1926, under the pretext of a Sichuan military unit detaining one of their merchant ships, British imperialism brazenly used three warships to bombard Wan County, creating the shocking Wanxian ‘September 5th’ Massacre that stunned both China and the international community. The hall is open to visitors all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
