Located beside the 319 National Highway (Chongqing-Changsha section), the Zhangguan Tourism Scenic Area in Yubei District, Chongqing, is a natural geological museum formed by the transformation of the earth over billions of years. The scenic area covers an area of 32 square kilometers and is divided into several游览 zones including Yulin Cave, Xuanlian River, Zhangjia Cave, Zhangguan Ancient Stockade, and Laojun Mountain.
It boasts the longest underground river in Asia—a 5-kilometer-long water cave; thrilling underground river adventure—Zhangjia Cave rafting; the ancient battlefield of the late Yuan Dynasty—Zhaizi Slope; over 300 acres of tea mountains and tea-making workshops for tourists to freely pick and process tea; Laojun Mountain, where visitors can ascend to the top to overlook all other mountains; and the first high-altitude speed slide in China with a drop of over 100 meters and a length of more than 780 meters. The Zhangguan water cave is 4.6 kilometers long, with an underground river that flows all year round, and the main activity is boating on the underground river.
