The National Geographic Explorium of China, a collaboration between Jinan Overseas Chinese Town and National Geographic, is a family-oriented natural science entertainment venue. Here, we are rooted in China, telling Chinese stories, looking at the world, and exploring the fascinating planet. The Explorium focuses on content as the warp and technology as the weft, combining China’s unique natural features from the ocean to the world’s roof, its rich and unique flora and fauna, and the scientific spirit that continuously breaks through the unknown and boundaries. With new technologies such as 5G, VR, and AR, along with interactive devices, it creates an ‘unreachable, unattainable, and unobservable’ high-quality experience for Chinese families. It features three major modules (China’s Unique Species, World Poles, and the Power of Science) and multiple interactive experiences, providing visiting families with a high-quality exploration experience. It also combines with large-scale National Geographic IP exhibitions and cultural activities to continuously empower the venue. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 17:30; Mondays are closed; New Year’s Day from 09:30 to 19:00; and Spring Festival from 09:30 to 21:00. Concessions for children: free admission for those under 0.8 meters in height (not included).
