The club enjoys a prime location, facing the sea and backed by mountains, offering excellent views. Looking east, one can see the Taiwan Strait; westward, it leans against Meiren Mountain; southward, Xiamen Island comes into sight. It is adjacent to the ‘Miami of Xiamen’s Future’ – the Round East Sea Area. It is located on Tongji Road, the main artery connecting the inside and outside of Xiamen Island, with convenient transportation. The total area of Kaige Golf Club is 3,500 mu, and it enjoys 10,000 mu of original ecological forest. It is equipped with a 30,000-square-meter central clubhouse.

The golf course is divided into two courses on the east and west sides. It was carefully planned by the world golf king, famous Australian player, and former golf world champion ‘The Great White Shark’ (Greg Norman) and his design team. Designed according to the international professional competition design standards, it has 36 holes. This is Mr. Norman’s first work in China, and it also demonstrates the combination of Mr. Norman’s design of detailism and ruggedism, creating a harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

The fairway design is broad and grand, with scattered gentle valleys and slopes, numerous devilish bunkers, and a skillfully arranged layout of lakes and forests. The user-friendly design incorporates great tests and challenges to golfers’ psychological qualities and skills.

At present, the east course has 18 holes, with a length of 7,073 yards and a par of 72. Among them, the last 9 holes are equipped with night lights. The 18-hole west course is designed according to the championship standard course, with a length of 7,119 yards and a par of 72.

Kaige Golf Club has a 30,000-square-meter central clubhouse and a driving range. It is equipped with supporting facilities such as guest rooms, Saint Orchid Café, Yueyuan Chinese Restaurant, and meeting rooms, which can accommodate 300 people for dining at the same time. The perfect soft and hard facilities of the golf course have the reception qualifications to host large-scale events, and it hosts more than a hundred events annually on average.
