The ancient village was built in 1488 during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 500 years and is famous for being full of stone houses. It is said to be one of the three major stone villages in Zhejiang Province. There are currently more than 60 well-preserved stone houses from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and stone dwellings such as the Wu Clan Ancestral Hall in the ancient village. The village is surrounded by mountains and encircled by streams, with charming scenery.
