Keyuan is located in Cangshan District. It consists of two buildings, both of which are three-story brick-wood structure apartments made of red bricks. The west building covers an area of 540 square meters, with a length of 27 meters and a width of 19.5 meters. The east building covers an area of 300 square meters, with a length of 20 meters and a width of 15 meters.
The early owner, Zhong Jingzhu, was an overseas Chinese and once served as an official in the salt administration system. Many well-known cultural figures in modern Fuzhou have lived in Keyuan. The more famous one is Lin Huiyin. She lived here during her visit to Fuzhou to see her mother in 1928.
