The Kuahuqiao Site Museum is another prehistoric site museum in Zhejiang Province after Hemudu and Liangzhu. The accumulation of the Kuahuqiao site is as thick as 2 to 3 meters. According to carbon-14 measurement, it is as old as 7,000 to 8,000 years ago. Unearthed cultural relics include pottery, stoneware, bone ware and wooden ware, etc., which are relatively well-preserved and unique in shape. Many fossilized artificially cultivated rice and early Chinese canoes (with a history of 7,500 years) have also been discovered. The excavation here is of great research value for the early Neolithic culture in Zhejiang Province.
