Kuizhou Museum is located in the ancient architectural complex in Kuizhou Street, Kuimen. The exhibition hall covers an area of more than 2,000 square meters. There are currently more than 20,000 pieces of cultural relics in the collection, among which there are hundreds of precious cultural relics. On display are the earliest human carved artworks created by the ‘Fengjie people’ 130,000 years ago, the large bronze tripod of the Chu style discovered so far in the Xiajiang area, the exquisitely carved green jade ornaments with kui dragons, the majestic pottery horses of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the vivid tri-colored glazed pottery of the Northern Song Dynasty, the celadon porcelain of the Southern Song Dynasty with lustrous color, pure, simple and delicate texture, and the vivid wood carvings of the Three Stars of Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity. All of these are the treasures of the museum. It is a comprehensive local museum integrating protection, exhibition, scientific research, study tours and education.
