The Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery is located in Quarry Bay Park in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island. Here, the Alexander Grantham fireboat is displayed in kind. This fireboat was manufactured at the Whampoa Dock in 1953 and retired in 2002. It has always been the main fireboat of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department and has participated in countless firefighting operations for ships and major fires along the coast as well as maritime rescue missions.

The exhibition gallery is themed on ‘The History of Maritime Rescue and Fireboat Services’, displaying a large number of materials and knowledge about maritime rescue. On the Alexander Grantham, there is a special exhibition on the work and life of firefighters who served on the ship at that time. Tourists can board the ship for a visit through a movable suspension bridge connected between the exhibition gallery and the Alexander Grantham.

Opening hours: Open all year round. Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 18:00.
