Lailong Nunnery is a nunnery with a history of more than 400 years in the downtown area. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, a wealthy family’s daughter named Xie was determined to become a nun. Her parents built this nunnery for her to practice in seclusion. According to the inscriptions in the nunnery, in 1932 (RenShen year), Bhikkhuni Shi Kuanzhan carried out renovations. After liberation, from 1955 (YiWei year) to 1991 (XinWei year), the abbot, Nun Shi Weixing, renovated it five times successively and completed various halls.
