The Laiwu Battle is one of the 100 classic battle examples in world military history. The movies ‘Fighting North and South’ and ‘Red Sun’ are all filmed based on the Laiwu Battle. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Laiwu Battle, the Laiwu Battle Memorial Hall was completed in 1997. At present, there are only a dozen panorama halls of this scale in the world, and there are four in China. The Laiwu Battle Memorial Hall is composed of three main buildings: the revolutionary martyr memorial tower, the exhibition hall and the panorama hall, forming a layout of ‘pin’. The revolutionary martyr memorial tower is 19 meters high and is made of granite. It is one of the 100 key monuments in the country. The exhibition hall has five exhibition halls with a panel area of more than 700 square meters. The panorama hall is 17 meters high and has a circumference of 120 meters. The ground is shaped with an area of 1100 square meters. It has simulated sound, simulated natural light, and an electric rotating grandstand. It integrates’sound, light, electricity, and shape’. It uses vacuum illusion, strict visual perspective and partial exaggeration techniques to create visual realism. It can create unlimited reverie in a limited space. Standing on the rotating grandstand can make you feel as if you are in the midst of the revolutionary war with continuous gunfire and billowing smoke, giving people a sense of being on the scene and thrilling. It has extremely strong artistic appeal and extremely high artistic appreciation value.
