Langqi Island in Fuzhou is known as the pearl of the Minjiang Estuary. It has beautiful scenery, is close to mountains and faces the sea. The forest coverage rate of the whole island reaches 20%. The tidal flat area is 37 square kilometers, and the coastline is 30 kilometers long. The island is 15.3 kilometers long from east to west and 8.1 kilometers wide from north to south. It is the fourth largest island in Fujian Province.
The natural conditions are very superior and it is a good place for tourism, sightseeing and leisure. The island administratively belongs to Langqi Town, Mawei District, Fuzhou City.
