Lan Sheng Gate, located on the east side of the Great Wall south of the Yangtze River, is one of the more ‘easterly’ gates among many. Standing on the city tower, one can see the entire Linhai City. Unlike the open surroundings of the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, the Great Wall in Jiangnan is surrounded by lush greenery, and the Great Wall set amidst the forest is even more stunningly beautiful.
