The Lyceum Theatre on Maoming South Road was built in 1930. It is adjacent to the Garden Hotel, Jinjiang Hotel and New Jin Jiang Hotel. With an elegant environment and convenient transportation, it is a renowned and long-established theater at home and abroad. Before liberation, the ‘Lyceum’ was managed by the Amateur Dramatic Club of British Nationals in Shanghai. It mainly presented programs such as dramas, music, song and dance, and traditional operas, and also showed movies. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 19:00 all year round.
