The Laoshan District Library is located on Xiaxia Ling Road and offers a variety of services including a lending room, children’s reading room, electronic reading room, blind person’s reading room, local literature room, newspaper and periodical reading room, study room, and training room.
It currently has a collection of 298,000 books, over 400 types of newspapers and periodicals, and 310 reading seats. The library is open all year round from Monday to Wednesday, and Friday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00; every Thursday it is open all day. The comprehensive lending room on the fifth floor (including the children’s reading area) operates from 09:00 to 17:00, the newspaper and periodical reading room from 09:00 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:00, and the study room from 09:00 to 17:00.
