Huabi Peak, standing at an elevation of 350 meters, is formed by horizontal layers of rock, resembling a towering building piercing the azure sky from a distance, hence its name ‘Huabi Peak’.
It stands out among the continuous Jiu Mountain range with its unique rock formations, and due to its shape resembling a traditional Chinese ornamental column, it is also known as ‘Huabi Peak’. According to folklore, when the Eight Immortals crossed the sea, they were captivated by the scenery here and ascended Huabi Peak to rest and admire the view. As a result, many literati also refer to this place as the ‘Gathering Platform of Immortals’. There is another legend that He Xiangu once combed and dressed on the ‘building’, which is why the locals affectionately call it ‘Dressing Tower’. This legendary peak, with its peculiar shape, beautiful scenery, and concentration of historical sites, has been included in the ‘Twelve Famous Scenes of Laoshan’, known as ‘Huabi Rock Stacks’.
