Taiqing Wharf, located in the Laoshan Scenic Area, is adjacent to the ancient Taoist temple—Taiqing Palace and the renowned Buddhist temple—Huayan Temple. It overlooks the sacred site of Laoshan—Aoshantou, and enjoys the ‘first ray of sunshine in Qingdao’ with the auspicious purple air from the east. Since ancient times, it has been a sacred place for local people to pray for blessings. The red silk ribbons tied in the name of blessings form the well-known ‘Red Wharf’ landscape in Qingdao.
Laoshan Sea Cruise operates from Taiqing Wharf as its home port, with single-point round trips.
