Lecong Cultural Park is located on the south side of Lecong Avenue, Lecong Town, Shunde District, Foshan City. By using a combination of modern and traditional gardening techniques and combining with the original terrain, a modern garden with water features as the main focus and highlighting leisure characteristics and subtropical water town scenery is created. The park design strives to focus on humanization. Centering on the connotation of cultural leisure, the park is divided into leisure activity areas (lake areas); square leisure areas; fitness activity areas; children’s activity areas to meet the leisure needs and aesthetic tastes of modern people. The plant configuration of the park combines local characteristics and functional needs. It has a rich variety and distinctive features. Select native tree species with good shading effects (such as Ficus microcarpa, Sterculia nobilis, etc.) as leisure shade trees; select tree species with ornamental flowers and fruits (such as Bombax ceiba, Lagerstroemia speciosa, Kigelia africana, mango, jackfruit, Plumeria rubra, Osmanthus fragrans, etc.) to add interest to the park tour; select tree species with landscape characteristics (such as Canary Islands date palm, Roystonea regia, etc.) to reflect the subtropical waterfront style; select various aquatic plants (such as floating-leaved plants, emergent plants, moisture-tolerant trees and shrubs along the coast, etc.) to enrich the waterfront landscape and reflect the natural ecological beauty of the Pearl River Delta water town.
