Li Bingyuan: Rumors Solo Exhibition in Hong Kong, China

Rén Lú (Hong Kong) is pleased to announce that Li Bingyuan’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, titled ‘Rumors,’ will open on August 28, 2024. This exhibition will showcase a series of works created in collaboration with Rén Lú and Ten X. During the opening week, the artist will also engage in special interactive performance projects with the audience at the exhibition venue. Li Bingyuan delves into various aspects of everyday society through video and performance art, exploring the body, material, conceptual cognition, and social values. The exhibition will feature his 2019 creation ‘Rumors,’ a large installation composed of over 300 golden arrows piercing through tongues; video works ‘Room’ (2019) and ‘Signal’ (2014); performance sculpture ‘Natural History’ (2019); and a newly created marble sculpture ‘Rice Ball Exhibition’ (2024). Li Bingyuan continues to reference current events with his poetic perspective and humorous, light-hearted expressions through his artistic practice. In the special interactive project of the exhibition, Li Bingyuan will redefine the audience’s ‘position,’ where the audience’s ‘participation’ will infuse his artworks with衍生 language, completing the entirety of the work together with Li Bingyuan. The exhibition will be open from August 28 to November 28, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
