Li Jia Keng Village, situated in Zhangshui Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is a place that has managed to preserve a wealth of ancient architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This historical village, which was originally named Xu Jia Chang Village, has a rich heritage that dates back to the early Qing Dynasty.
The village’s founding ancestor, Li Gongjian, made the journey from Yongkang Changtian and was so taken by the scenic beauty of Li Jia Keng, with its picturesque mountains and waters, that he decided to settle there. He began to cultivate the land and build homes, thus establishing a family lineage that has lasted for more than 360 years.
Today, Li Jia Keng Village is open to visitors all year round, and can be explored at any hour of the day or night.
