The Li Kuchan Memorial Hall is situated within the Wan Zhu Garden of Baotu Spring Park in Jinan, featuring a classical courtyard that combines the styles of Jiangnan gardens, Beijing royal residences, and Jinan’s Siheyuan. The architectural design is distinctly reminiscent of the Han and Tang dynasties, with a hip-gable roof and exterior walls adorned with blue bricks. Stone carvings, wooden carvings, and brick carvings are meticulously and vividly presented on stone railings, door pillars, lintels, and walls, known as the ‘three wonders’ of Wan Zhu Garden.
The memorial hall consists of 14 exhibition rooms, displaying over 400 pieces of calligraphy and painting works. It also exhibits some ancient calligraphy and paintings collected by Mr. Li Kuchan during his lifetime, as well as his life photographs, letters, and manuscripts. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
