Liangye Mountain

Liangye Mountain, also known as Liangye Immortal Mountain, ranks first among the “Eight Scenic Spots of Pingchuan” in ancient Wuping. Here there is a ten-thousand-mu forest of Chinese yew. Many precious plants and rare animals have made their homes here. Waterfalls of various postures can be seen everywhere. These original ecological landscapes endow it with the characteristics of pleasant scenery and abundant wild charm.

Moreover, thousands of peaks compete in beauty, thousands of valleys contend in sound, and strange mountains and rocks are so numerous that one is dazzled. It is an ideal place for forest exploration and eco-tourism. Wild animals on the mountain gather and roam freely; rare flowers and plants are all over the jungle. Liangye Mountain also has many famous historical sites, such as Liangshan Temple, White Lotus Pond, Baiyun Temple, Ancient Mother Stone, Immortal Cave, Pufu Tower and so on, each with its own characteristics.

In particular, the winding and changeable valley of Yuncai Gully is mostly stepped granite mountains in the valley, forming a large number of waterfalls. There are more than ten waterfalls of different postures, stretching nearly ten miles. On both sides of the valley, sometimes the dense forest shades the sun, and sometimes the dangerous cliffs hang high, forming a series of beautiful scenic lines with extremely high landscape value, making people linger.

Liangye Mountain National Nature Reserve is currently one of the well-preserved natural virgin forest communities in Fujian Province and even the whole country. People are amazed by its large area of virgin forest, good ecological protection and rich species resources. The Liangye Mountain area is rich in animal and plant resources, with complex floristic elements and ancient origins. It is known as a “natural green gene bank” and a “wildlife refuge”.
