Located in the perennially spring-like Lianhua Mountain Range of Haifeng County, Lianhua Mountain Scenic Area lies between the ‘Lianfeng Diecui’ and ‘Yingping Feibao’ of the eight scenic spots of Haifeng. When visitors come here for hiking and climbing, they can see layers of forests and endless rolling hills. In the blink of an eye, it feels as if they are in a fairyland on earth. Among them, the main peak of the Lianhua Mountain Range, with an altitude of 1336 meters, is a good place for climbing and enjoying the scenery.
Lianhua Mountain Scenic Area takes Jiming Temple as its main building. The temple has a long history, dating back to 1633 AD. Due to five consecutive natural disasters in Haifeng, the monk Yinzhen, who came here to seek alms, built a hermitage on Lianhua Mountain to gather blessings for Haifeng, which has lasted nearly 400 years. When visitors come to Lianhua Mountain, they might consider purchasing some of the local specialty, Lianhua Mountain tea, brewed with Lianhua Mountain spring water, which is particularly refreshing.
