The Lianquan Xianggu natural scenic area is 70 kilometers away from Beijing. It connects to Badaling in Yanqing in the west, is adjacent to Shentangyu and Yanqi Lake in the south, and is adjacent to Qinglong Gorge and Yougu Shentan in the east. The transportation is extremely convenient. The scenic area takes the valley as the view, uses the mountains to create momentum, gains interest from water, and evokes emotions with life.
In the valley, the flowing water rushes down, waterfalls descend from the sky, springs gurgle all year round, and the echoes are endless. Hence, it is named Lianquan Xianggu. The scenic area is equipped with service facilities such as quadrangles, yurts, cabins, restaurants, commodity departments, spring baths, karaoke halls, etc. Tourists can enjoy wild flowers in spring, view the natural scenery in summer, see the red leaves all over the mountains in autumn, and look at the natural ice waterfalls in winter. They can also fish for rainbow trout, have picnics, barbecue, or hold bonfire parties. Lianquan Xianggu is a natural scenic area that combines green mountains and clear waters, dangerous peaks and valleys, spiritual springs and waterfalls, dense forests and secluded caves, and strange mountains and rocks. The annual temperature here is 3 to 5 degrees lower than that in the urban area. There are 5,000 meters of winding paths in the scenic area. You can see many landscapes such as Tian Gong Cave, Mao Tou Mountain, three ponds and two waterfalls, Shen Ma Chang, May Glacier, longevity tortoise carrying a load, the source of Yanqi, original secondary forest, and Jian Tian Terrace. Here, the mountain road winds and turns. There are scenes at every step and views everywhere. The scenic area is backed by Heituo Mountain. The main peak of Heituo Mountain is 1895 meters above sea level. Standing on the top and looking south, you can have a panoramic view of Beijing.
