The Liaocheng County Government Office is located on the west side of the ‘Guangyue Tower’ in Liaocheng, known as the ‘Water City’. It is situated in the middle of Lou Xi Street, facing south and following the traditional symmetrical layout with the left side designated for civil affairs (personnel) and the right side for military affairs (soldiers), embodying the traditional ritualistic thoughts of government offices during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The north-south axis measures 193.38 meters, the east-west width is 95 meters, covering an area of 26 mu, approximately 17,000 square meters, with more than 200 rooms. The architecture includes archways, screens, gates, halls, rooms, offices, pavilions, courtyards, and residential quarters. The current scale of the construction is based on the records in the ‘Liaocheng County Chronicles’ and has been rebuilt on the original site. The site is open to the public from 09:30 to 17:30 all year round.
