The Lighthouse Scenic Area is a well-established landmark in Rizhao, named after the towering navigational lighthouse by the shore. It features a square, a beach, and offers an expansive view with beautiful scenery.
Standing at the heart of the square is a 36-meter-tall lighthouse. At night, the five-tiered water curtain, accompanied by colorful music, creates a vibrant and enchanting landscape illuminated by the lights.
The scenic area by the shore has a large sandy beach; however, the sand is relatively coarse, and there are many black rocks. It is an excellent location for taking landscape photos, which is why many newlyweds can often be seen here for wedding photoshoots. The Lighthouse Scenic Area is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
