The former site of Liji Medical School is located at No. 10, Park Road, Yuhai Street Office, Rui’an City, Zhejiang Province, founded in the 11th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1885). It was established by Chen Qiu, Chen Jieshi, Chen Baoshen, and He Diqi, among others, to promote the implementation of reform and innovation. It is also the first new-style traditional Chinese medicine school in China to adopt European and American educational systems and methods, integrating teaching, medical practice, and scientific research.


Liji Medical School, founded in the 11th year of the Guangxu period (1885), is one of the earlier new-style traditional Chinese medicine schools in China, making a significant impact and contribution to Chinese medical education. The former site of Liji Medical School consists of a gatehouse, side rooms, a main building, and a Chinese herbal medicine garden. It has been converted into the Liji Medical School Museum and was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in the sixth batch in 2006.


The museum is open all year round from 09:00 to 17:00.
