Lin Fengmian’s Former Residence is located in Renshou Mountain Park, a French-style house personally designed and built by Mr. Lin Fengmian in 1934. After restoration in 1999, it was opened to the public for admiration. The residence displays works of Mr. Lin Fengmian from different periods and retains the original layout, including his painting studio. Lin Fengmian, one of the founders of modern Chinese art education, was born in Mei County, Guangdong in 1900, began learning painting at the age of six, and went to France for further studies after graduating from high school. He went into exile during the Anti-Japanese War and returned to Hangzhou after the victory, passing away in 1991. The residence is open to visitors all year round from 08:30 to 16:30.
