Lin Yutang’s Former Residence is located on Zhangzhou Road, Gulangyu Island. It was the home of Lin Yutang’s wife, Liao Cuifeng. It is one of the ancient villas on Gulangyu Island and has a history of over 150 years.
The villa is of British style. There is a small flower garden at the back, and two-story small buildings on both sides. The Liao Family Villa had its glorious days on Gulangyu Island for many years. However, due to years of disrepair, the front part has now become a dangerous building, and the main entrance is closed to the public.
