Lingjiangyuan Forest Park, nestled in the northern part of Weixin Township within Pan’an County, enjoys an average altitude of 800 meters. This verdant haven offers crisp air, a delightful climate, and a picturesque environment, with a staggering forest coverage rate exceeding 90%.
The park’s scenic area is a tapestry of natural wonders, characterized by “gorgeous canyon landscapes, unique and elegant, majestic cliffside walkways, thrilling waterfall climbing, rare tree species, deep mountain villages, and natural simplicity.” Amidst the small bridges, flowing water, and local homes, one is enveloped by the mountains, with the unique spectacle of clouds and mist shrouding the mountaintops, creating an ethereal experience akin to stepping into a paradise.
Tucked away deep in the original villages, approximately 35 kilometers from Pan’an County, the park stretches from Libiyan Natural Village in the east, to the entrance of Wangdakeng Village in the south, to the north side of Lingfeng Tianchi, and to the ruins of Xitian Temple in the west, encompassing a core area of about 2000 acres. Removed from the clamor of urban life and devoid of secondary and tertiary industry, the village prides itself on its high mountain vegetables and bamboo forests. A visit here is incomplete without sampling the local farmhouse bamboo shoots feast.
Lingjiangyuan Forest Park is a treasure trove of forest and water resources. The vegetation is lush, waterfalls cascade continuously, and streams whisper gently. Nature has bestowed upon it “dense peaks, sheer cliffs, ancient seclusion, numerous waterfalls, and clear waters.” Venturing upstream along the stream to its source, one can bend down to sip the natural water—cool and sweet, an experience unparalleled by any bottled mineral water.The park is open all year round from 07:30 to 16:30, with ticket sales ending at 14:30.
