Lingnan Painting Academy is the main facility and unit for Keyuan Cultural Park to explore and magnify the two historical and cultural resources of Keyuan as an important birthplace of the Lingnan School of Painting and a gem of Lingnan architecture. It is located on the bank of the Dongjiang River, north of Keyuan, Guancheng, Dongguan City. It consists of three major buildings: Lingnan Painting Academy, Lingnan Art Museum, and Lingnan Painters’ Village. The art museum focuses on exhibition, collection, and research, while the painters’ village focuses on exchanges and training.

The overall building has three floors and a total of six exhibition halls, which can hold large-scale exhibitions and exhibitions of different themes simultaneously or separately. The total area of the first-floor exhibition halls is 1,237 square meters, with two exhibition halls; the total area of the second-floor exhibition halls is 1,336 square meters, with three exhibition halls; the total area of the ground-floor exhibition hall is 628 square meters, with one exhibition hall. In addition, there is also a modern multi-functional academic lecture hall with 171 seats, which can be used for academic exchanges.

All exhibition halls in Lingnan Art Museum are equipped with professional exhibition facilities in accordance with the standards of national key art museums. They are equipped with professional exhibition lighting, central air conditioning, complete sound, light, and electrical systems, as well as a perfect electronic security monitoring system. Some exhibition halls also have constant temperature and humidity control functions, which can meet the requirements of high-end artworks.
