The Hainan Linqiangshidao Island Coral Reef Local-level Nature Reserve is located in the northwest of Hainan Island. It includes Linqiangshidao Island (also known as Dachan Reef) and the surrounding sea area, covering an area of 131 hectares. The main protected objects are Linqiangshidao Island and the surrounding offshore coral reefs and their ecological environment. Linqiangshidao Island itself is a coral island composed of corals, shell gravels, and various corals, shells, beach cliffs, and secondary coral reef gravels. It is located at the northern edge of the coral reef distribution area and is an important base for studying the distribution of coral reefs in the Beibu Gulf and the South China Sea, as well as the developmental history of coral reefs and the composition and changes of their organisms. The management activities of the reserve maintain the marine ecological environment and biodiversity of Linqiangshidao Island and its surrounding areas. Thus, marine biological resources related to coral reefs are maintained. The local marine ecological environment is basically well-preserved, but the coral reef is in a state of natural decline. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the opening situation on the day.
