Lingshan Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Huludao City, about 53 kilometers away from the urban area. The scenic area features handsome peaks, lush forests, and a very beautiful environment.
Lingshan Scenic Area combines Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian cultures with natural scenery. There are numerous buildings and statues of Buddhism and Taoism. The ancient Lingshan Temple here is an especially famous place for praying for blessings. Lingshan was first built in 1738 (the third year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign) and is divided into upper and lower courtyards. There are 29 pavilions, halls, and buildings in the temple, such as the Octagonal Pavilion, Cihang Tower, Yuhuang Hall, Double-story Building, Bottomless Cave, and Dutian Hall. It is a large-scale ancient architectural complex of Taoism and Buddhism.
