Lingshui River, commonly known as Daxi River, is the fourth largest river in Hainan. It was historically referred to as Lingmudan River, Lingzha River, and Linggong River. Originating from Xianfang Ridge in Baoting County, Lingshui River flows through the villages of Baoting County, including Ba Village and Shi Ling, before entering Lingshui County. It continues through Qunying, Nanping, Timon, Yulin, and Lingcheng, eventually merging into the South China Sea at Shuikou Port. The main tributaries of Lingshui River include Baoting River and Duzui River. The upper reaches of Lingshui River are known as Shi Ling River, which becomes Lingshui River after merging with Shikong River. The catchment area is 1131 square kilometers, with a main river length of 73.5 kilometers, a slope drop of 3.13‰, and a total drop of 1059 meters. The average annual rainfall is 2040 millimeters, the average annual runoff is 1.41 billion cubic meters, and the average annual flow rate is 44.7 cubic meters per second.
