Situated in the eastern part of the main island of Sijiao, Wu Long Township on Da Bei Mountain, Lingyin Zen Temple is a Buddhist site in Shengsi, connected to the mountain ranges to the west and bordered by the vast sea to the east. It was constructed during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. The temple is built into the mountain, with three rooms on the north and south sides, covering a total area of over 400 square meters. The main hall is known as the Mahavira Hall, where the principal Buddha sits against the wall, towering at ten feet high, with the Thousand-Armed Guanyin behind the wall, and a hall of Arhats. During Buddhist festivals, villagers from various islands across the county gather here to offer incense, worship Buddha, and count the Arhats, creating a lively atmosphere. The vantage point at the mountaintop is excellent, forming an isosceles triangle with Ji Hu and Nan Chang Tu, the two major beaches, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the scenery of the Thousand Islands in the sea and the sister beaches. It is open throughout the year from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
