The temple is divided into ‘King’s Assistant’ and ‘Emperor’s Teacher’ two water pavilions, with five sections including the main gate, ceremonial gate, main hall, and ancestral hall, covering an area of 3000 square meters. The main hall features statues of Liu Ji and his sons Liu Lian and Liu Jing, and there is a 900-pound ancient bronze bell on the left corridor. The temple has many plaques and couplets inscribed by famous people from the Ming, Qing, and modern times, such as Emperor Zhengde of Ming, Qianlong’s Grand Secretary Liu Quanzhi, Yu Youren, Zhang Taiyan, Cai Yuanpei, and Ju Zheng. There is a square in front of the temple that can accommodate thousands of people.

The county magistrate could not meet him and secretly came as a commoner to visit. Ji was washing his feet when the magistrate followed his son into the thatched cottage.’ This shows the simplicity of Liu Ji’s housing at the time and the nobility of his character.
