Liuchazhou is located on the Longquan Stream in the center of Longquan City, also known as Jiangqinwei. It is formed by the alluvial deposits of Jiangxi and Qinxi rivers, and it is said that a fairy once left a boat on this island, hence the name. In 2002, the Longquan Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government built the Liuchazhou Water Park on the island. The park mainly consists of Liucha Pavilion, viewing corridors, a central square, and greenery. The reconstructed Liucha Pavilion is more spectacular than the ancient one, and Su Shi’s inscription is written according to Su Shi’s original handwriting, making it a significant landmark in Longquan today. The park is open all year round from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
