Liushantou Village is located in Yanzhang Township. It is a famous ancient tree village. There are more than 500 towering ancient trees, including more than 300 that are over a thousand years old. Liushantou Village is built against the mountain. The houses in the village are stacked layer upon layer, in an orderly manner. The lush vegetation on all sides wraps the village. From a distance, it looks like a bright pearl inlaid on jasper.
And more than 500 towering ancient trees are more like being deliberately carved by skilled craftsmen, adding a level and a touch of green to this jasper. Liushantou has hundreds of Chinese yew, Castanopsis sclerophylla, Liquidambar formosana and other tree species with ages of hundreds or even thousands of years. The villagers have a strong sense of ecological environment protection and the environment of Tiantai is relatively good. At present, magnolia trees and rosewood trees in Lishui area are a major highlight of this village. The Liu’s ancestral hall in the village has a long history and profound cultural connotations. In addition to enshrining ancestors and worshipping gods, folk cultural activities such as flower-drum opera and horse lantern opera are also carried out. The village has protected animals such as wild stone frogs and giant salamanders, as well as various wild fruit crops such as persimmons, hickory nuts, torreya grandis, golden peanuts, and plums.
