Liushi Tower, also known as Jiangshang Tower, is located on Liushi Mountain and was originally constructed during the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli period. It stands as a testament to the maritime Silk Road in Quanzhou. Within the park, there are hiking trails for climbing, and the ancient paths are surrounded by a large number of ancient and famous trees, making it an ideal place for Quanzhou citizens to ‘visit the past’.
Liushi Tower Park’s landscape functional area is a highlight of this planning. The area is situated at the southern end of the entire green belt and is one of the deeper plots in this regional design. Primarily composed of reef stones, it is relatively low-lying yet serves as the highest point in this area. At the top of the slope stands a tower built during the Ming Dynasty to guide passing ships, named ‘Jiangshang Tower’, also known as ‘Liushi Tower’ (a cultural relic protection unit at the Jinjiang city level).
