Lixiang Lake, also known as Tuxi Reservoir, is located in the heart of the northern ecological agricultural park of Nanchuan. The reservoir is situated at an altitude of 800 meters, 59 kilometers (via expressway) from the main city of Chongqing, and 28 kilometers (via expressway) from the urban area of Nanchuan. It can be directly reached by taking the DaGuan exit on the Chongqing-Xiangtan Expressway. Lixiang Lake is renowned for its clear waters and tranquil environment, with numerous bays and a winding shoreline that spans 65 kilometers. There are 38 developable peninsulas and one central island (Muyu Island). The area boasts good infrastructure and a pleasant climate, making it an ideal destination for eco-tourism, leisure vacations, and health retreats. Near Lixiang Lake are the famous scenic spots of Nanchuan Jinfushan, Wulong Fairy Mountain, Wansheng Stone Forest, and Banan Dong Hot Springs, making it an undeveloped high mountain artificial lake within Chongqing’s one-hour economic circle.

Lixiang Lake Wetland Ecological Park is built on leading design concepts that preserve the original natural landscape and local customs while incorporating new modules such as creative sightseeing agriculture and ecological breeding and cultivation. It has established an ecological farm based on ecological principles in Western China. The agricultural park is mainly divided into two sectors: crop cultivation and animal husbandry. Efforts in seedling cultivation, honeysuckle cultivation, reishi mushroom cultivation, forest chicken breeding, and black boar farming have already achieved initial success, garnering good reputation and benefits.

Lixiang Lake Wetland Ecological Park not only focuses on the cultivation and breeding of flora and fauna but also emphasizes the观光, tourism, leisure, and vacation aspects of modern agriculture. To this end, the park has creatively divided its areas into artistic zones, with different scenic spots featuring various plants and distinctive landscape features, striving to achieve a new artistic conception of ‘four major areas, ten thousand kinds of interest’. The park is open to the public year-round from 9:00 to 17:00.
