Liyuan Library, situated in Jie Jiehe Village within the Huairou District of Beijing’s suburban outskirts, boasts a distinctive architectural design. The library’s structure is a blend of steel framing and glass, with its exterior walls ingeniously crafted from sticks that were traditionally used by local villagers for burning fires. This unique use of materials allows sunlight to filter through, casting a warm and inviting glow without direct exposure to harsh light.
The library operates seasonally, from April 16th to October 16th, and is accessible to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays. Its opening hours are from 08:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and then from 13:30 PM to 16:30 PM. Please be advised that the actual hours of operation may vary depending on the day’s specific opening status.
