The Long Museum (Pudong Branch) officially opened on December 18, 2012. The total construction area is approximately 10,000 square meters. It was designed and renovated by Chinese architect Zhong Song. The building has a square layout in appearance, with light grayish-white as the keynote and granite as the main building material, highlighting the simplicity and pure restraint of the Eastern style.
The main building of the art museum has four floors in total. The basement is a public education area with facilities such as a book reading room and an academic lecture hall. The exhibition hall on the first floor mainly exhibits contemporary art with diverse themes and is equipped with leisure facilities such as an art store and an art café. The exhibition hall on the second floor is a distinctive permanent exhibition area of’red classic’ art, systematically showing the panorama from the Yan’an period to the new era. The third floor is a permanent and temporary exhibition hall for traditional Chinese art, mainly focusing on calligraphy and painting art. There is also a display space for ancient Chinese utensils and furniture. Opening hours: Open all year round from 10:00 to 17:30. Supplementary notes on preferential policies: 1.
