Longchang Stone Archway Group

The Longchang Stone Archway Group is located in Longchang County, Neijiang City. There are currently 17 stone archways. Most of them were built during the reigns of Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, and Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. Each archway has a story and is full of historical and cultural atmosphere. It is a great place to understand China’s archway culture. Most of the Longchang stone archways are stone archway-style buildings with four columns, three gates, three tiers of eaves, and five drops of water.

They have extremely high value in history, architecture, carving, and calligraphy. Among the many archways, the ‘Guo Wang’s Virtue Archway’ is very famous. The archway was built in 1887. It has exquisite carvings and is high-end and domineering. It is a must-see. Opening hours: 09:00 – 17:00 from January 1 to December 31.
