Longfeng Temple, originally known as the ‘Dragon King Temple’, was first established in the early Qing Dynasty. It is located at the end of Zhigang Avenue in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing City, built against the rock and facing the Yangtze River. The temple was constructed with the intention of praying for the safety and well-being of passing ships, trackers, and local residents. Over hundreds of years, it has been filled with spiritual energy and thriving with incense, becoming famous in the Bashu region. In 2000, with the grace of the Jiulongpo District People’s Government, it was officially approved to open. Due to its location in Longfeng Creek and the auspicious meaning of the dragon and phoenix, it was renamed ‘Longfeng Temple’. This is an excellent place to climb high and enjoy the view. Overlooking the mountains, the Lu Liangbaizi unfolds at the bottom, with rivers resembling ribbons, lakes and ponds like mirrors, fields connected, roads shaded by trees, villages scattered, and smoke curling up from the stoves, making the scenery pleasant and the atmosphere diverse. Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
