Longhu Ancient Village, originally established during the Southern Song Dynasty, has a history of over 1000 years. It still preserves hundreds of ancient buildings, providing a glimpse of the millennia-old Chaozhou Prefecture as you stroll through.

The village is primarily composed of three main streets and six alleys, with a diverse array of surnames among the indigenous residents. More than 60 individuals from the village have passed the imperial examinations, becoming Jinshi (advanced scholars) and Juren (recommended candidates). Walking on the thick stone slabs, you will find countless ancestral halls and residences on both sides, each with its own story.

These buildings not only reflect the different architectural styles of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties but also showcase the essence of typical Chaoshan folk crafts such as woodcarving, stone carving, inlaid porcelain, painted art, and shell lime sculptures.

The village is open all year round, 24/7. However, the operating hours of the various attractions within the village may vary, and the specific business status is subject to the day’s opening conditions.
